Ingredients

  • Duck breast - 2 pieces (about 300g total)
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Broccoli - 200g, cut into florets
  • Spinach - 100g, washed
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Score the skin of the duck breasts in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the duck breast skin-side down. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden. Drain excess fat as needed.
  4. Flip the duck breasts and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for 12-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 65°C (150°F). Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. In the same skillet, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets to the skillet, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes until tender.
  7. Add the spinach and soy sauce, cooking until the spinach wilts, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Slice the duck breasts and serve over the sautéed greens. Garnish with chopped green onions.
