Ingredients

- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Hoisin sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Cucumber - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Spring onions - 2, finely chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Score the skin of the duck breast in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
- Season both sides of the duck breast with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and place the duck breast skin-side down. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the duck breast and sear the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer the duck breast to the oven and roast for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
- Remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
- While the duck is resting, mix the hoisin sauce with sesame oil in a small bowl.
- To assemble the burger, take a large lettuce leaf and place some duck slices on it. Top with cucumber slices, chopped spring onions, and drizzle with hoisin sauce.
- Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
