  • Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the beaten egg with the soy sauce.
  3. Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot (about 180°C).
  5. Fry the chicken tenders in batches for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  6. Remove the chicken tenders and drain them on paper towels.
  7. In a small bowl, mix honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and chili flakes to make the dipping sauce.
