Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams
  • Cornstarch - 50 grams
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Fresh ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Cucumber (julienned) - 100 grams
  • Carrot (julienned) - 100 grams
  • Red bell pepper (sliced) - 100 grams
  • Spring onions (sliced) - 2 stalks
  • Mixed salad greens - 100 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Cooking oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and place in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring all pieces are coated, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, combine cornstarch with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  5. Once marinated, take the beef strips and coat them evenly in the cornstarch mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  7. Fry the coated beef strips in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. While the beef is frying, prepare the salad by combining the cucumber, carrot, red bell pepper, and spring onions in a large mixing bowl.
  9. Add the mixed salad greens to the bowl and toss gently to combine.
  10. Once the beef is ready, place it on top of the salad mixture, drizzle with additional sesame oil if desired, and serve immediately.
