Ingredients

  • Beef flank steak - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Shredded cabbage - 100 grams
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (or coconut aminos for a stricter keto)
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, beaten egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form the filling.
  2. Lay the thinly sliced beef flank steak on a clean surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling at one end of each slice of beef.
  3. Roll the beef tightly around the filling, securing it with a toothpick if necessary. Repeat with all slices.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef rolls, seam side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Turn the rolls to cook all sides evenly, about 3-4 minutes more. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with a side of low-carb dipping sauce, if desired.
