Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 250 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the chopped fresh coriander over the skewers and allow it to slightly wilt.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
