- Ground chicken - 300 grams
- Fresh coriander leaves - 30 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Spring onion - 2, finely chopped
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Sriracha sauce - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped coriander, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped spring onion. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown color.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on another skillet or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked chicken patty, cucumber slices, and tomato slices. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce if desired.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
