Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 300 grams
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 30 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Spring onion - 2, finely chopped
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped coriander, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped spring onion. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown color.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on another skillet or in a toaster.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked chicken patty, cucumber slices, and tomato slices. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce if desired.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
