Ingredients

  • Fresh coriander leaves - 50 grams
  • Red chili pepper - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Wash and dry the fresh coriander leaves, then roughly chop them.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped coriander, finely chopped red chili pepper, julienned cucumber, and julienned carrot.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  5. Season with salt to taste and let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve the salad in small bowls, garnished with black sesame seeds.
