Ingredients

  • Soft tofu - 200 grams
  • Ripe tomatoes - 2 medium (about 300 grams total)
  • Cucumber - 1 small (about 100 grams)
  • Green onions - 2 stalks
  • Fresh cilantro - 10 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Drain the soft tofu and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture for about 10 minutes.
  2. While the tofu is draining, wash the tomatoes and cucumber. Dice the tomatoes and slice the cucumber into thin rounds.
  3. Chop the green onions and cilantro finely.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a pinch of salt to create the dressing.
  5. Once the tofu has drained, cut it into cubes and place it in a serving bowl.
  6. Add the diced tomatoes, cucumber slices, chopped green onions, and cilantro to the bowl with the tofu.
  7. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine all the ingredients without breaking the tofu.
  8. Sprinkle the black sesame seeds on top for garnish and serve immediately.
