  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 200 grams
  • Unsweetened shredded coconut - 50 grams
  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the shrimp, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
  2. Fold in the unsweetened shredded coconut until evenly distributed.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the shrimp balls in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
