Ingredients
- Coconut milk - 400 ml
- Agar-agar powder - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Salt - a pinch
- Fresh coconut (optional) - for garnish
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine 200 ml of water and 2 teaspoons of agar-agar powder. Stir well and let it soak for about 5 minutes.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently until the agar-agar is completely dissolved.
- Add 400 ml of coconut milk, 50 grams of sugar, and a pinch of salt to the saucepan. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Continue to cook the mixture over low heat for another 5 minutes, ensuring it does not boil.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the mixture into molds or a shallow dish. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the coconut jelly for at least 1 hour or until firm.
- To serve, cut the jelly into cubes or desired shapes and garnish with fresh coconut if using.
