Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder - 300 grams, cubed
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Shaoxing wine - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) - 4

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
  2. Add the cubed pork shoulder to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated pork cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
