Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 200 grams
  • Pork tenderloin - 200 grams
  • Bell peppers - 100 grams
  • Zucchini - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chinese five spice - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 8 pieces (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast and pork tenderloin into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Chop the bell peppers and zucchini into similar-sized pieces for even cooking.
  3. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, chili paste, cumin powder, Chinese five spice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  4. Add the chicken and pork to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  6. Thread the marinated meats and chopped vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between meat and veggies.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the meats are cooked through and have grill marks.
