Ingredients

  • Chow Mein Noodles - 200 grams
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Bell Pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green Onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mozzarella Cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black Pepper - to taste
  • Chili Flakes - to taste

Steps

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
  2. In a large non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  4. Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the skillet, along with soy sauce, and mix well to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes to taste.
  5. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Transfer the noodle mixture to a greased pizza stone or baking tray, pressing it down firmly to form a crust shape.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the noodle crust. Then, drizzle with the remaining vegetable oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the noodle crust are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
