Ingredients
- Ground beef (kosher) - 300 grams
- Chow fun noodles - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Hoisin sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Bread crumbs - 50 grams
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2, preferably whole wheat
- Cucumber - 1, thinly sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 2
Steps
- Cook the chow fun noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, green onions, garlic, ginger, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 equal patties.
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- While the patties are cooking, stir-fry the cooked chow fun noodles in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes until heated through. Add a splash of soy sauce if desired.
- Toast the burger buns until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with stir-fried chow fun noodles, sliced cucumber, and lettuce leaves.
- Drizzle additional hoisin sauce over the top if desired, and serve immediately.
