Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 70 milliliters
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams
  • Fresh chives - 50 grams, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil for brushing - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the water and mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, crumble the firm tofu into a bowl. Add the chopped chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well to combine.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  5. Divide the rested dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each piece into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
  6. Place a generous spoonful of the tofu and chive filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  7. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with oil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
