Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell pepper (red or green) - 1 medium, diced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onion - 2, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add diced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and chopped green onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper, mixing well. Remove from heat and let the vegetable mixture cool slightly.
  5. Roll the rested dough into a thin circle (about 25 cm in diameter). Place it on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. Spread the vegetable mixture evenly over the flatbread. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle chopped cilantro on top.
  7. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Bake the flatbread for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.
