Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 milliliters
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh scallions - 4, finely chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, mix the chopped scallions with sesame oil and set aside.
  4. After resting, divide the dough into 2 equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle, about 20 cm in diameter.
  5. Brush one side of the rolled dough with vegetable oil and sprinkle with the scallion mixture and black sesame seeds.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log, then coil it into a spiral shape. Flatten it gently with your hands.
  7. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil. Cook each scallion bread for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
