Ingredients

  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Chinese chives - 100 grams, chopped
  • Tofu - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and warm water, knead until a smooth dough forms, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the chopped Chinese chives, crumbled tofu, sesame oil, soy sauce, and salt until well combined to make the filling.
  3. Divide the rested dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chive and tofu filling in the center of each circle, then fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape, sealing the edges tightly.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the pockets for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels before serving.
