Ingredients

  • Chinese cabbage - 200 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium (about 70 grams)
  • Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Wash and chop the Chinese cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Peel and julienne the carrot.
  3. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and slice it into thin strips.
  4. Mince the garlic and ginger.
  5. Chop the green onions, keeping the green and white parts separate.
  6. In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  7. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Add the sliced bell pepper and carrot, cooking for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  9. Stir in the chopped Chinese cabbage and the white parts of the green onions, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
  10. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring well to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  11. Remove from heat and garnish with the green parts of the green onions before serving.
