- Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Wash and chop the Chinese cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
- Peel and julienne the carrot.
- Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and slice it into thin strips.
- Mince the garlic and ginger.
- Chop the green onions, keeping the green and white parts separate.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and carrot, cooking for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Stir in the chopped Chinese cabbage and the white parts of the green onions, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring well to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and garnish with the green parts of the green onions before serving.
