Ingredients

  • Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan) - 250 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 1/4 cup

Steps

  1. Wash the Chinese broccoli thoroughly under running water and trim the ends.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the Chinese broccoli to the skillet, stirring well to coat it with the garlic oil.

  7. Once the broccoli is well coated and heated through, remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate.
