Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, julienned
  • Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
  • Red bell pepper - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for about 10 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the cubed tofu, cucumber, carrot, red bell pepper, and green onions.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss to coat all the ingredients evenly.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve the salad in bowls, garnished with chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds.
