Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium
- Green bell pepper - 1 medium
- Carrot - 1 medium
- Broccoli florets - 100 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chili sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch, a pinch of salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, approximately 10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- While the tofu cooks, chop the red and green bell peppers, carrot, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed, then sauté minced garlic and ginger for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped vegetables and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce and chili sauce. Stir well to coat all ingredients evenly.
- Add sesame oil and mix everything together for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
