Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium
  • Carrot - 1 medium
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch, a pinch of salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, approximately 10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. While the tofu cooks, chop the red and green bell peppers, carrot, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
  5. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed, then sauté minced garlic and ginger for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add the chopped vegetables and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  7. Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce and chili sauce. Stir well to coat all ingredients evenly.
  8. Add sesame oil and mix everything together for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
