- Jasmine rice - 150 grams

- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Spring onion - 2 stalks, sliced
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste

Steps
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain it.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- While the rice is cooking, heat the chili oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the soy sauce. Set aside.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and season with salt to taste.
- Drizzle the chili oil mixture over the rice and toss gently to combine.
- Serve the rice topped with sliced spring onions, sesame seeds, and chopped cilantro if desired.
