- Chili oil - 4 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Toast sesame seeds - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chili oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, brown sugar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off excess marinade. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
