Ingredients

  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 250 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (Kosher) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns (Kosher) - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Cucumber, sliced - 1/2
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime wedges - 2

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, minced garlic, chili paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate pan until lightly browned.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the shrimp patty, sliced cucumber, and a dollop of mayonnaise.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun, serve with lime wedges on the side, and enjoy!
