Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 15 ml
  • Chili garlic sauce - 50 grams
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese - 150 grams
  • Green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Red bell pepper - 50 grams, diced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a 30cm circle on a floured surface.
  7. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the chili garlic sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by diced red bell pepper and chopped green onions.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds before slicing.
