- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Fresh red chili - 2, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Spring onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
- Add minced garlic, chopped chili, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, black pepper, and salt to the chicken. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly, then marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the chicken skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
