Ingredients

  • Fresh crab - 500 grams
  • Garlic - 6 cloves, minced
  • Fresh red chili - 2, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the fresh crab. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the crab turns bright red. Remove the crab and let it cool.
  2. Once cooled, crack the crab shells and remove the meat, keeping it in large pieces. Set aside.
  3. In a wok or large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, ginger, and chopped red chili. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the crab meat to the wok and gently stir to coat with the garlic mixture.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing well. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Add 100 ml of water to the wok and cover. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Uncover and let the sauce thicken for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
