- Chicken breast - 250 grams
- Black bean sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- 1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and marinate in soy sauce and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- 3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 4. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of oil, then add minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 5. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- 6. Return the cooked chicken to the pan, add black bean sauce and water, and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- 7. Drizzle sesame oil over the dish and toss to combine.
- 8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
