- Chicken breast - 250 grams
- All-purpose flour - 150 grams
- Water - 80 ml
- Egg - 1 large
- Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon for frying
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, combine the chicken breast, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and black pepper. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and the egg, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and sauté until cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Stir in chopped green onions and remove from heat.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place half of the cooked chicken mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges to form a pocket.
- Place the filled pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with a little oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
