Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Hoisin sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the ground beef with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, and half of the chopped green onions. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle about 25 cm in diameter.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Place one rolled flatbread in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and repeat on the other side. Remove and set aside. Repeat with the second flatbread.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and cook the marinated beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Add the remaining green onions and chopped cilantro, mixing well.
- To serve, top each flatbread with the cooked beef mixture, fold or roll it up, and enjoy hot.
