Ingredients
- Ground pork - 250 grams
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Spring onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves (large) - 4
- Cucumber, sliced - 100 grams
- Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Chili sauce (optional) - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped spring onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the pork mixture. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pork is fully cooked and browned.
- While the pork is cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry. Set aside.
- Once the pork is done, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- To assemble the burgers, take a lettuce leaf and spoon a portion of the cooked pork mixture into the center. Top with cucumber slices and fresh cilantro, adding chili sauce if desired.
- Fold the sides of the lettuce leaf over the filling to create a 'burger' and serve immediately.
