Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
  • Ground chicken - 200 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 50 grams, chopped
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Chicken broth - 500 milliliters
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Chili oil - for serving (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, and press to seal. Then, bring the two corners together to form a dumpling shape. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  4. Carefully add the dumplings to the simmering broth and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the dumplings float to the surface and are cooked through.
  5. Taste the broth and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Serve the dumplings in bowls, ladle the hot broth over them, and drizzle with chili oil if desired.
