Ingredients
- Whole wheat pizza base - 1 (30 cm diameter)
- Chow mein noodles - 150 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Green onion - 2, chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Crushed red pepper flakes - to taste
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Cook the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the skillet along with the soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Spread the noodle mixture evenly over the whole wheat pizza base.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the noodle mixture.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro, and add crushed red pepper flakes to taste.
- Slice and serve hot.
