Ingredients
- Chow Mein noodles - 200 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Green onion - 2, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable broth - 100 ml
- Snow peas - 100 grams, trimmed
- Tofu - 150 grams, cubed
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Cook the Chow Mein noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a bowl, toss the cubed tofu with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat, and add the tofu. Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove tofu and set aside.
- In the same pan, add minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the carrot, bell pepper, and snow peas, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until just tender.
- Return the tofu to the pan, add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, vegetable broth, black pepper, and salt. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
