Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Green bell pepper - 1/2, diced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Drain the tofu and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the cubed tofu to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, turning gently until the tofu is golden brown on all sides.
  5. Add the diced green bell pepper and julienned carrot to the skillet, stirring frequently for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, tossing everything together. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped spring onions and cilantro before serving.
