- Carrots - 150 grams, grated
- Celery - 100 grams, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Breadcrumbs - 4 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Sliced cucumber - 50 grams
- Sriracha sauce - for serving (optional)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the grated carrots, chopped celery, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green onions.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, breadcrumbs, black pepper, and salt to the vegetable mixture. Mix well until everything is combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly in another pan or toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, adding a lettuce leaf and sliced cucumber on top.
- Drizzle with sriracha sauce if desired, and serve immediately.
