Ingredients

  • Lobster (live or pre-cooked) - 500 grams
  • Bell pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Bell pepper (green) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Scallions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. If using live lobster, steam it for 8-10 minutes until cooked, then cool and remove the meat from the shell. Cut the lobster into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix the gluten-free soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and water. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced bell peppers and julienned carrot to the wok, stir-frying for about 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. In a small bowl, toss the lobster meat with cornstarch to coat evenly.
  6. Push the vegetables to the side of the wok and add the lobster meat. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the lobster and vegetables, and stir to combine, cooking for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Add chopped scallions and season with salt to taste. Stir well and serve immediately.
