  • Scallops - 150 grams
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cilantro - a handful (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the shrimp, calamari, and scallops with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to high and add the marinated seafood to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the seafood is just cooked through.
  5. Add the sliced green and red bell peppers to the pan, stir-frying for another 2 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water, stirring well to combine. Let it cook for another minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil over the seafood platter, stir to combine, and remove from heat.
  8. Garnish with chopped spring onions and cilantro before serving.
