- Pork belly - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Hoisin sauce - 15 ml
- Chinese five-spice powder - 5 grams
- Brown sugar substitute (like erythritol) - 5 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Cucumber - 50 grams, sliced thinly
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Chili sauce (optional) - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, five-spice powder, brown sugar substitute, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a marinade.
- Place the pork belly in a resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it is well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- After marinating, place the pork belly on a baking tray lined with foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
- Once cooked, let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
- To assemble the burgers, take a lettuce leaf and layer slices of roast pork, cucumber, and chopped spring onions. Drizzle with sesame oil and chili sauce if desired.
- Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
