- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Hoisin sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Cucumber, thinly sliced - 1/2
- Carrot, julienned - 1/2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green onions, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the pork mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 75°C.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the pork patty, sliced cucumber, and julienned carrot.
- Drizzle additional hoisin sauce on top if desired, and place the top half of the bun on each burger.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
