Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Hoisin sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced - 1/2
  • Carrot, julienned - 1/2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green onions, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the pork mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 75°C.
  4. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the pork patty, sliced cucumber, and julienned carrot.
  6. Drizzle additional hoisin sauce on top if desired, and place the top half of the bun on each burger.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
