Ingredients

  • Pork tenderloin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the pork is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.
  4. Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off, and place it on the wire rack.
  5. Bake the pork in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F). Baste the pork with the leftover marinade halfway through cooking.
  6. Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin pieces.
  7. Serve the sliced BBQ pork with steamed vegetables or over rice.
