Ingredients
- Pork tenderloin - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the pork is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.
- Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off, and place it on the wire rack.
- Bake the pork in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F). Baste the pork with the leftover marinade halfway through cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin pieces.
- Serve the sliced BBQ pork with steamed vegetables or over rice.
