Ingredients

  • Green cabbage - 6 large leaves
  • Cauliflower rice - 200 grams
  • Ground chicken - 150 grams
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Carrot - 50 grams, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful, chopped

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the cabbage leaves and blanch for about 2 minutes until they are slightly softened. Remove and set aside to cool.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sesame oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the cauliflower rice, grated carrot, chopped green onion, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, mixing well until everything is combined and heated through.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and fold in the chopped cilantro.
  6. To assemble, lay a cabbage leaf flat, spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling onto the center, and roll it up tightly like a burrito. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
  7. Serve warm, optionally drizzled with extra soy sauce or sesame oil.
