- Cabbage leaves - 8 large
- Ground chicken - 200 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Mushrooms - 100 grams, finely chopped
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes until soft. Drain and set aside to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, cilantro, salt, and black pepper.
- Lay a cabbage leaf on a clean surface and place about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture at the base of the leaf. Roll the leaf tightly, folding in the sides as you go to seal the filling inside.
- Repeat the rolling process with the remaining leaves and filling mixture.
- In a large skillet, place the rolls seam-side down and add a splash of water. Cover and steam for about 10-12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and serve warm, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
