Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams, cubed
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted

Steps

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cubed tofu and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry for 5 minutes until it starts to soften.
  5. Return the tofu to the skillet and add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
