Ingredients
- Ground pork - 200 grams
- Napa cabbage - 150 grams, finely chopped
- Green onions - 2, finely sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
- Water - for steaming
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, finely chopped Napa cabbage, sliced green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold it in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly. You can also pleat the edges for a decorative touch.
- Repeat until all filling is used, placing the dumplings on a parchment-lined tray as you go.
- Fill a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, place the dumplings in the steamer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- Cover and steam the dumplings for about 15-20 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.
- Remove the dumplings from the steamer and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
