  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
  • Water - for steaming

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, finely chopped Napa cabbage, sliced green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling mixture in the center of the wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold it in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly. You can also pleat the edges for a decorative touch.
  4. Repeat until all filling is used, placing the dumplings on a parchment-lined tray as you go.
  5. Fill a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, place the dumplings in the steamer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  6. Cover and steam the dumplings for about 15-20 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.
