Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Salt - 3 grams
  • Cabbage - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Mushrooms - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 15 ml
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml
  • Vegetable oil - 10 ml

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast; let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  3. While the dough is rising, heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped cabbage and mushrooms, sautéing for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  5. Once the dough has risen, divide it into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a small circle about 10 cm in diameter.
  6. Place a spoonful of the cabbage and mushroom filling in the center of each circle. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal tightly.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let them rest for another 10 minutes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
