Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 150 grams, finely shredded
  • Carrots - 100 grams, grated
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice paper wrappers - 8 sheets
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Soak one rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until it becomes soft and pliable, then lay it flat on a clean surface.
  3. Place about 2 tablespoons of the cabbage and carrot mixture in the center of the rice paper wrapper. Fold the sides over the filling and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top to form a roll.
  4. Repeat the process with the remaining rice paper wrappers and filling until all rolls are prepared.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the rolls in the pan, frying them until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove the rolls from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
