- Cabbage, finely shredded - 150 grams
- Carrot, grated - 100 grams
- Spring onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt, then gradually add warm water while mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped spring onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each portion into a thin circle about 25 cm in diameter.
- Place half of the vegetable filling on one half of each dough circle, then fold the other half over to create a semi-circle. Press the edges to seal tightly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the filled pies and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the pies from the skillet and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Cut into wedges and serve warm.
